Because of frequent changes in Internet technology and applicable law we reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time that technology and legal changes require. You should check these Terms and Conditions regularly for such changes.
CHANGES TO PRODUCTS
We and any other persons involved in the management of this website may make changes in the products described, and to other content of this website, at any time without notice. We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions on our website are accurate. However some inaccuracies, typographical errors or misinterpretations may occur. We reserve the right to correct such inaccuracies or typographical errors as they are identified. All depictions contained on the website are for illustration purposes only. Because of differences in picture inks, computer monitors and printer ink, colors of the actual product may vary slightly from those observed.
The price displayed for products on this website represents the full price, including GST, for the product itself but does not include postage/delivery charges which will depend on the destination. We reserve the right to change prices displayed for products on our website at any time.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to place an order with us. We do does not knowingly accept orders from anyone under 18. By placing an order with us through this website you acknowledge that you are over eighteen (18) years of age. Should we suffer any loss or damage as a result of a transaction entered into by a person under the age of 18, we reserve the right to seek compensation for such loss or damage from the parents or guardians of the person who placed the order(s) with us.
KINDLE WARRANTY AND REPAIRS
The Kindle is sold sealed in it's original box and all warranty is provided by Amazon.com USA. We do not have the knowledge and technology necessary to repair Kindles, and we will not make any such attempts. The warranty of a Kindle starts counting the day the product ships from Amazon.com USA, so the actual warranty period is a few days less than one full year.
We takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is secure. We have robust systems and procedures in place to protect your privacy whenever we collect, store, and use or disclose personal information. We regularly upgrade these systems and review our procedures to ensure high standards of security are used to protect your personal information. As a condition of working at ReaderShop all our employees sign a confidentiality agreement. We do not store any credit card information and all transactions are processed through a SSL with high encryption.
INCORRECT / INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing the correct address, including Company Name, Floor, Level, correct Suburb, Street Name and Number. Orders with incorrect or insufficient address could be returned to us by Australia Post. A shipping and handling fee of $16.95 will be applied for refunds or reshipments.
All sales of Kindles are considered final. We do not offer refunds, credits or exchanges. If you do not accept this condition please do not place your order.
LOCAL WARRANTY FOR KINDLES
All Kindles purchased after 01 Jan 2012 are eligible for a 12 month local warranty starting from the day the order is placed. Customers have to follow instructions on http://www.readershop.com.au/pages/contact-us for all claims. Customer must have follow troubleshooting guides indicated on the website and also must have contacted Amazon.com free Technical Support to try to resolve the issue as indicated in our site. Customers that request replacements for the slightest technical problem without having consulted any of the guides we recommend or consulted any technical support might not be eligible for replacements. If we are low in stock, priority will be given for new orders. Conditions for the replacement: we must receive the faulty Kindle with all accessories, the Kindle must be proven faulty, it must not have any sign of misuse. We won't replace the Kindle if the customer has purchased the wrong model or changed his / her mind.
WARRANTY FOR OTHER ITEMS (NOT KINDLES)
Cases, Screen Protectors, Skins and any other item that is not a Kindle have a 60 days warranty for manufacturing issues. If you don't like the item, you have 30 days from the day your order was placed to return it. Accidents and problems caused by misuse are not covered by warranty.
